I'm a winner!

Its like this guy isn't even trying.

Dear Friend,
My name is Frank Moss. I am an American citizen, base in London, I have been in money management field since 21 years , here in United Kingdom.

Just long enough to forget grammar, I see.

I have a client who wants to invest the sum of US$15,000,000.00 (Fifteen Million) United States dollars. He's a top politician in Iraq and never want his name to be mentioned.

Um, yes, thats possible. Except he would have been a Baathist, so probably fled to Syria.

Can you handle a huge sum of investment and help us to move this money to your country through U.N diplomatic courier service channel?

All you financial advisors out there, Can You handle a huge sum of investment? I bet you consider Huge > 15M.

If you can handle such huge sum of investment and interested to be my partner to invest in your country, kindly respond with: 1. Your full names, 2. Home or Office address, 3. Direct contact telephone numbers, 4. Age and occupation.

It sounds like Yoda is involved in the old Nigerian scam. I'm half tempted to respond and list my occupation as FBI Investigator. And I like how he refers to the US as 'your country'; thought you were a Yank too, old boy?

For further details, urgently contact me via this e-mail address:
[redacted]@live.com

Regards,
Frank Moss.

Its like they're not event trying to be believable. Just throwing anything at all out there and hoping it sticks somewhere. Anyone who falls for this kind of diaphanous deception should be deported.

I am so tempted to buy a disposable Wal-Mart cell phone and just screw with the guy...

The Shuffle

Just queued up Alice Cooper's 'Hello, Hooray'. Lovely.

So what of this week? I'll just recap today, as the shock of seeing the week in its entirety would likely burn you to a cinder. We were visited by a radio person, and we may have radio spots and beneficial mentions before long. Like really soon.

Thats pretty cool. And we may well do a live, in store event, with Joe Gagnon (oh, look it up. Yes, he really is mildly famous). I think its big stuff.

Also, in news of the planet shaking variety, I've bought a card scanner. HFS. How ever did I live without it? Coolest toy in quite awhile.

[Shuffle now: St Germain, Rose Rouge. I recommend the 'Tourist' album.]

I attended a meeting this evening to plan a fundraising event for next year. I was on last year's event committee, and this year, I am co-chairman. Oooh, err. Got the big shoes on now, don't I?

[Shuffle: Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Numbered Days]

HTTP work plods on (computers will wander off the reservation every now and then and need correction) and we're selling a fair bit of cartridges. You know you need one...

Update:
Oooh, shuffle just puked out Sex Pistols, Filthy Lucre. Don't you wish you were here?

Insert Witty Title Here

Saturday I grudgingly started to lay out the in-ground pet fence we bought last autumn. It would have already installed, except that it arrived just ahead of the permafrost.
I got the perimeter mapped out, flagged, trenched, and wired; but not the wire into the trench. That was a task for Sunday, along with drilling the outside wall. Well, with the light, chilly rain we're enjoying, I shan't be drilling anything. I really don't feel like getting all fraternal with the cold mud, either, so the wire will sit there on the surface.
I think it will be dry again Tuesday. I can drill and bury then.

I lead a fun life, no?
